Contributing Writer

This publication is in the beginning stages and looking for writers (volunteer). Writers will work remotely: pitching, conducting interviews, and writing stories on topics within pop culture and / or politics unless they would like to also cover relevant local events. Expected time commitment is up to 15 hours per week.

Writers will receive a byline for their work. Types of articles include: news, analysis/commentary, opinion, reviews, reported features, trend stories, and retrospectives.

Writers with some journalism experience, a familiarity with AP style, interest in either feature or news writing, would be preferred.

• News (shorter quick turn-around articles)
• Both (a good mix of both)
